With the Civic Sport, you’ll get more than just a showpiece vehicle. The Sport may also be had with a 174-horsepower turbocharged engine. Consequently, it’s difficult to climb into the Sport’s back seats, and there’s little headroom.
The aircraft’s interior is well-equipped for most passengers’ needs, with spacious seats and plenty of convenient features. A more luxurious (and far more costly) version of the little sports concept car, the Toyota 86 is less refined and more focused on driving enjoyment than the BMW 2 Series Sport. There are few, if any, direct rivals in this industry. Even if you don’t need the extra utility of the Civic Sedan, the Civic Sport is a must-see.
2023 Honda Civic Redesign
The Sport version of the Honda Civic is the greatest representation of the brand’s much-needed flair among the current generation. Design components and proportions are just right here to keep things interesting. All models come equipped with a choice of 16-, 17-, or 18-inch wheels. Wheels with gloss black inlays are standard on the Sport. Automatically on/off projector-beam halogen headlights and integrated LED light bars are standard equipment. This option is available on the Touring model, which features a one-touch power moonroof.
For $1,850, you can get a black and blue tour trim fashion bundle. The Civic Sport is quicker than the Civic Sedan while having the same 106.3-inch wheelbase as the sedan. The dimensions are 70.9 inches wide by 54.9 inches high. The LX model weighs 2,763 pounds, while the Touring model weighs 2,937. The Sport is much better than the XL when handling a sequence of turns.
The Civic Sport’s two most comfortable seats are in the front row. Due to a short backseat, this is the case. There was little question that the sport’s more fashionable appearance would come at the expense of performance. When you enter and depart, the smaller, lighter front door on the car is preferable to the bigger, heavier one on this vehicle. To get to the rear of the automobile, you’ll need to twist and turn your way around. Ample head and legroom are provided by the well-padded chairs in the first row. There is, however, a noticeable lack of headroom for anybody over six feet tall.
The shorter back end of the Civic Sport results in a substantially smaller trunk than the Civic Sedans. The LX and Sport have 12.1 cubic feet of room, compared to 11.9 cubic feet for the EX and Touring. There is plenty of space for a game of sports. 6.9 cubic feet may be found in the trunk of the Subaru BRZ. More luggage space is available in the back thanks to the rear seats that can be folded down to 60/40. A center console, cupholders, and door pockets are also included.
The Civic Sport LX and Sport trims have a 2.0-liter normally aspirated four-cylinder engine that delivers 162 pound-feet of torque, while the Sport EX and Touring trims have a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 174 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. Except for the Sport, all models come standard with a six-speed manual transmission; the CVT is an option on Sport vehicles.
The turbo-four has a highway acceleration time of fewer than seven seconds, making it superior to the 2.0-liter engine. A six-speed manual gearbox would have made the Civic Sport an excellent vehicle, but its more powerful engine isn’t compatible. The CVT not only improves the efficiency of the Civic, but it also increases the noise level.

The LX Civic Sport has a starting price of $20,950. In comparison, the EX costs $23,500, while the Sport is priced at $21,750. It costs just $800 extra to get a CVT-equipped Sport model rather than a manual. None of the above prices include Honda’s $930 pick-up and drop-off fee.
