2024 Honda Civic SI Price, Release Date, Specs

2024 Honda Civic SI Price, Release Date, SpecsIf the standard Civic isn’t sporty enough for you and the Type R is too concentrated, you might like the Civic Si, which compromises the two. It’s from the 10th Civic generation, which debuted in 2016. It has a far better appearance than a standard sedan, and unlike the Type R, it is not excessive. A few cosmetic adjustments have been made for 2020, and a few internal changes have been made to bring a little more spice to the cabin.

The Si has returned to a 1.5-liter engine for 2024. However, unlike the original model, the eleventh-generation Civic Si is turbocharged, and instead of 91 horsepower, it produces 200 hp and 193 lb-ft of torque. Although the Civic has less power than the Volkswagen Jetta GLI and even the previous-generation Civic Si, it is a lighter, more lively sedan than VW’s offering.

Honda Civic SI 2024 Redesign

Honda has given the new Civic baby Accord looks and toned down some of the more daring design decisions seen on the previous model and nearly every model before it. On the other hand, the Si hasn’t completely lost its luster. The honeycomb grille mesh, more muscular bumpers, and gloss black rear spoiler are all nice touches. The dual oval tailpipes vastly improve over the original centrally-mounted trapezoidal one.

The front gets a muscular black grille, while the back gets a center outlet exhaust and a body-colored wing spoiler to keep the Civic Si’s sporty posture. The side profile of the Civic Si coupe has to be the most appealing. The car has a sleek appearance because of its long wheelbase and two-door design. Exterior features include:
Heated power side mirrors.
Illuminated entry with walk-away auto-lock.
LED fog lights.
A fin-type roof-mounted antenna.
A one-touch power moonroof with a tilt option is also available on the top of your head.

Interior

Honda has designed an interior for its new Civic series that has a clean, uncluttered appearance, is made of materials that seem durable and is devoid of gimmicks. One of the most distinctive stylistic aspects here is the metal honeycomb dash panel, yet it doesn’t impede the dashboard’s use. It’s clever to utilize physical controls for things like the volume knob and ventilation system, and all these switches feel robust when you operate them.

The Civic Si has a few unique features that set it apart from other Civics. Sport pedals, red contrast stitching on the center armrest and doors, and a standard Bose sound system are just a few features. Standard features include:
A leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Automatic climate control.
A nine-inch touchscreen interface.
This cabin has been painstakingly built to have everything you need and nothing you don’t.

Engine

The Civic Si’s engine has been updated for the latest generation. New: The 1.5L four-cylinder turbocharged engine still has 200 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque, but it now comes on between 1,800 and 5,000 RPM, 300 more than before.

According to Honda, a lighter, single-mass flywheel has increased throttle responsiveness. We didn’t notice the early torque, but the more lightweight flywheel still causes a lot of rev-hang. Service departments may have to tell some customers that the engine revs don’t drop as quickly as they should when they change gears, but this is normal.
