2024 Honda Odyssey Interior Colors, Models, RedesignThe trim LX, EX, EX-L, Touring, and Elite are the six trim levels available for the Honda Odyssey. All three are powered by a 3.5L V6 engine with 280 horsepower and a nine or 10-speed automated transmission. The EPA calculates 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. Honda worked hard to make the Odyssey’s body as stiff as possible, resulting in one of the smoothest-riding and most precise-handling vans. The Odyssey’s ACE body construction, which includes a larger frontal area, is designed to make it one of the securest minivans on the market.

The Honda Odyssey has stayed ahead of the competition by executing a series of modifications, with the minivan receiving some significant upgrades recently. The first round was in July 2021 for the 2024 model year, with 2022 in January 2021. The mechanics remain the same, and the 3.5-liter V6 under the hood still produces 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, but there have been a few modifications to the spec sheet. Honda wants to keep its lead in this market, giving the Odyssey everything it needs to compete with the Chrysler Pacifica and Toyota Sienna.

2024 Honda Odyssey Redesign

Within six months, Honda made two model revisions. A new Radiant Red Metallic 2 color is available for the 2022 Honda Odyssey, while the popular in-car HondaVac attachment is no longer available. The Odyssey received new exterior aesthetic components in 2021, which was a more significant improvement. Second-row chairs that fold nearly flat, making them easier to remove, have been added to the interior convenience.

The Odyssey EX and higher trim levels get new tri-color floor mats, and the Odyssey EX-L and higher trim levels get motorized lumbar support for the front passengers. Unique contrast stitching on the seats and piano black trim on the dash is among the interior trim upgrades. A new rear-seat reminder system is also included as a standard. Finally, adaptive cruise control and forward-collision warning with pedestrian recognition and automatic braking across the Honda lineup are now standard. Low-speed follow, pedestrian trouble braking, and traffic sign recognition have all been included in the Honda Sensing safety suite.

Honda has worked hard to make the Odyssey as pleasant as possible for all passengers on board. The Odyssey can comfortably accommodate up to eight tiny passengers or six more significant adults. The second row can be folded forward for cargo, stretched wide for an adult-size seating area, or made narrower for simple access to the third row in a “3-mode” design, such as when transporting a whole load of youngsters to a soccer game. Honda’s “Magic Seat” layout continues in the third row, which collapses into the cargo floor with a single hand strap when not in use. This, combined with totally retractable second-row seats, results in excellent load capacity. The Odyssey’s robust sound insulation and active noise cancellation system, standard on all Odysseys, ensure a calm ride.

The LX model of the Odyssey comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen display that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. On top trims, the bar is a rear-seat entertainment design with a 10.2-inch screen, a Blu-ray disc, and two pairs of Bluetooth headphones. The screen is small, and the speech recognition system is unresponsive to natural requests. The lack of a tuning knob is a significant annoyance.

The 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V6 engine from Honda, on the other hand, is a dream, producing 282 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. This minivan never seems underpowered, but we’d expect nothing less from a company with a long history of making some of the best non-turbo engines in the industry. Even with eight people on board, it has enough city and highway driving capacity. The ten-speed transmission is likewise flawless. Its wide range of ratios enables the gearbox to get the most out of the engine in any situation. It settles down smoothly and is relatively efficient at higher speeds.

The Odyssey’s V6 solid engine allows it to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 6.5 seconds and complete the quarter-mile in 15.1 seconds. These figures are impressive for a 4,398-pound minivan. The Odyssey comes with a superb braking system from Honda. The brakes fade after a while, but they’re still susceptible. Thanks to its powerful brakes, the Odyssey was able to go to a halt from 60 miles per hour in just 125 feet.
