New 2024 Honda Odyssey Changes, AWD, Engine

New 2024 Honda Odyssey Changes, AWD, Engine – In the United States, sales of sedans and hatchbacks have been slashed by the advent of crossovers and SUVs, but we tend to overlook the decline of minivans. There is little doubt that Chrysler and Honda’s new Odyssey and Pacifica have significantly benefited from the decrease in Dodge’s Grand Caravan sales since it debuted in the late ’90s. However, how relevant are these minivans today?

As with the Odyssey, we want straightforward cars and don’t try to be something they aren’t. To remain competitive, Honda has implemented several changes, most recently bringing significant improvements to the minivan. The 2024 model year was unveiled in January 2024 after a second round in July 2020 for the 2024 model year. The 3.5-liter V6 beneath the hood still produces 280 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque, but the spec list has been updated with a few new features.

The 2024 Honda Odyssey Radiant Red Metallic II color is available for the 2024 Honda Odyssey, although the 2024 Honda Odyssey in-car vacuum attachment is no longer available. In 2024, the Odyssey underwent a more significant makeover with new external styling components. Second-row seats now fold virtually flat, making removing them from the vehicle much simpler.

Power lumbar support for the front passengers is now standard on Odyssey EX-L and higher trim levels and new tri-color floor mats. Unique contrast stitching on the seats and piano black trim on the dash is among the interior improvements. All models now come with a new rear seat reminder feature as standard equipment. Honda has finally added adaptive cruise control and forward-collision warning with pedestrian recognition and automatic braking to all models.

While there is no real feeling of occasion, the 2024 Honda Odyssey cabin is beautifully designed and executed throughout. Besides the digital gauges, the ambient lighting on the center console adds a wonderful finishing touch. Space and robustness, on the other hand, are the key concerns of Honda. There is a sense of permanence, regardless of whether the model is made of fabric or leather. The car’s bolts are tight and the plastics inside are of great quality. There’s a lot of room for rattles in a car with that many seats.

The 2024 Honda Odyssey is a seven-passenger vehicle, whereas the remainder of the lineup comes standard with eight seats. If you’re planning on taking a big party on a road trip, an eight-seat Honda Odyssey is an absolute must. There are heated seats in the EX’s front seats. Even in the third row, there is enough head-and legroom for adults.

The lack of engine choices is the 2024 Honda Odyssey initial weakness. As for performance, Honda has an excellent naturally aspirated V6 engine that makes 276 horsepower and 262 foot-pounds of torque, which is more than enough to get you from 0-60mph in under seven seconds. We’d expect nothing less from a company with a long history of producing some of the greatest non-turbo engines in the industry, and this minivan is no exception.

The ten-speed transmission is likewise excellent. In every driving situation, the gearbox may make use of its broad range of ratios. Higher speeds allow it to stabilize and be a little more efficient. One of our complaints is the absence of a hybrid engine. There are now hybrid choices available in both the Pacifica and Sienna. Since most minivans spend their time traveling around the city, it makes perfect sense to look at hybrid vehicles.
